As a registered charity in Canada, The Jack Webster Foundation relies upon volunteers (as well as sponsors and donors) to deliver its annual programs and initiatives. Do you have some time and some skills to help? See below regarding our needs and fill out the form to let us know if you can volunteer.
Seminar Volunteers
Volunteers are required a few times a year at our educational seminars that we offer to the media. The positions include set-up and welcome and registration duties at the event, social media volunteers to help us photograph and create/post live content at the event, and a few other event related duties.
Webster Awards Volunteers
Volunteers are required to help make the annual Webster Awards evening possible. This event is held in October or November of each year (check our website for the current date) and positions include: event set up volunteers on the dat of the event (usually noon to 4:00pm) event reception greeters (usually 4:00pm to 6:30pm) and event volunteers (5:30pm – 9:30pm) to help our event photographer, sell raffle tickets, and perform other miscellaneous event tasks.
Also, are you a photographer or videographer? We often require event photographers and those who can produce videos to show at our event and/or on our website. If you can help out, we’d love to hear from you.
General Office/Administration Volunteers
Volunteers would be needed to help with general social media creation for Facebook and Twitter over the course of the year, to help with mailing/emailing lists and updates at various times during the year, to help with annual tax receipting and to perform other general office/admin tasks. If you have some office/computer skills, let us know what they are.
