Negar is an award-winning journalist, investigative reporter, podcast host and documentary filmmaker. She currently serves as a B.C.-based reporter and host with Iran International English, a multi-platform broadcast and digital news service founded in London, U.K.
Reporting on war, state violence and human rights violations, often at great risk to her personal safety, Negar has helped bridge the gulf between the West and Iran and increased cultural understanding at a time when the Middle East is the focus of global attention.
With her unique perspective as a first-generation immigrant, she brings positive representation to combat negative stereotypes, making her a role model for other journalists who aspire to see their communities represented equitably in the news media.
